Lineage 2 High Five private server

Looking for info for nabs like me. I'm new to lineage, I'm a life time player of FFXI. Six years and took a break but needed something to fill my time and came back to lineage. Tried their pay servers years ago and played on another free server a few years after that. I never got high in level or to end game though. I'm use to being able to find any info I need for FFXI down to the basic click here walk here hit enter. I'm finding it hard to get info for lineage that doesn't assume you've been playing a while and know what you're doing For example, I have no idea how RAID bosses work. I can find all sorts of stratagies to kill them but do you just grab some ppl up and go after it, do you have to start a quest to get drops from a boss, if its a low lvl raid boss is your lvl capped, or is it something only a clan can do. I'm looking for the basics info that holds my hand. Can anyone tell me a good site or guide that can walk me through all the aspects of this game like I've never played a MMO?

Thanks for any replies I know after years of FFXI I giggled a bit when someone new started that couldnt figure out the most basic and common known aspects of the game.. feel free to point and laugh at me

Haha I'm in no hurry I'm just glad you replied It would take me a while to figure out all I want to know too as every day when I log in and get my game addiction on I find more and more questions about what I'm doing in this game lol. It's hard to start a game thats been out as long as this one just hoping someone, like yourself, doesn't mind nab questions. Atm I'm just stuck on this RAID boss thing, and I'm not totally understanding the subclass thing either. Kinda sounds like FF's job changes that you can't do until you've capped your initial class but I don't know if I'm understanding that right Any info you can give me about the basics on any aspect of the game would be appriciated

Well, let's divide so

Subclass system
Once ur character have reach the lvl 76 and after u have made the third class change, u can add a subclass.
To add a subclas su must go to the Grand Master of ur class and click on the option " Add a subclass" ( for exmaple, if u want to take Bishop subclass, u can go to the Grand Priest in almost all the city ).
After u have add a subclass, u will start to play the choosen class from lvl 40 and u will have only the skill that ur subclass normally will had if it was a main class.
Subclass difference from the main class for the fact that u can reach only lvl 80 on them, instead on main class u can reach lvl 85.
Off course, u can change back to ur main class in any moment, just going to any master of any class, and selecting the option " Subclass -> Change subclass" and selecting the clas su want to use.
Pratically, it is like if u can start another character from lvl 40, of another class that u want to play
U can have a max of 3 subclass per char.

Raid
There is principally 2 ways to get item in Lineage.
Crafting it, or dropping it by a normal monster or from raid boss ( someone wanted to add also scamming, but i suppose it is not a so legit way )
The drop from raid boss is the faster one offcourse.
There are different kind of raid boss.
For some u must first do a quest to meet them ( normally is the one with the most valuable reward, like the epic jewelry).
For some else instead u simply must find them spawned, that it means that no one else have yet kill them.
About how to killa a raid boss, the most used way iis to take a tank, 1 healer, some rechargers and then all nukers. So the tank keep the mob hitting him, only, and the mage, safely, can hit the monster, till he die.
For all the raid boss, if u are 9 lvl over them u can't hit them at all or u will get a debuff that will silenc eu, if u hitted him using magic attack, or will flint u, if u will hit him in physical way.
Then last, but not least, it is important also who is tha player that give him the most damage, cuz if he is over 3 lvl higher then the lvl of the raid boss, the chance of drop will be decreased

For the raid bosses you need a quest for is there a list of quests somewhere I could look at? Also for the subclass I understand when your on the subclass you only have the skills for that class, when u change back to your main class will u have the skills of your subclass?

There are only few RBs, that need quest, you really dont need them. For more of 90% of the RBs you dont need quest. You must be more than 8 lvls up than the RB, or you will be cursed by him and will not have the possibility to kill him. For the quests: Open your map, click on the "World Info" button, then select "Quests", you will see all available quests in the game. About the subclass: Yes, when you play on the sub, you will use only his skills, when you go back to main class, you will have only your skills from the main class. You can have up to 3 subclasses in total. I hope I had helped, if you have other questions, continue to post here .

Subclass
Whne u come back at ur main class, u will not have any skill of ur past subclass.
As i told ya, it is like that, when u change subclass, u switch to another character with another class. No skill will be mixed up between main class and subclass.

Raid
The raid that need a quest are for the most part, raid that give epic jewelry, that are a special ring/earring/necklace that give some boost in stats.
Here is the list of that ( not all the rb jewelry, but the one for which u need a quest ).

-Necklace of Valakas: Produces the following effects: MP +42, increase resistance to sleep by 40%, HP +445, increase sleep attack chance by 40%, decrease in re-use delay, increase in P. Atk. and M. Atk. wild magic effect, damage shield effect and increase in resistance to flame. ( Into the Flame )
- Frintezza's Necklace: Increases MP by 42. Increases Sleep/Paralysis/Shock Resistance by 15%. Increases Sleep/Paralysis/Shock Attack probability by 15%. Increases Poison/Bleeding Resistance by 25%. Increases Poison/Bleeding Attack Probability by 25%. Decreases Reuse Delay. ( quest is not working here, so don't mind this ^^ )
- Antharas Earring: Produces the following effects: MP +31, increase resist bleed by 50%, increase bleed attack chance by 40%, increase healing effects, vampiric rage, 30% increase in stun/abnormal mental state resistance, increase stun/abnormal mental state attack chance by 30%. ( Audience with the Land Dragon )
- Baylor Earring: Dark Resistance +30, MP +31. (Bird in a Cage but don't work here )
- Ring of Baium: Produces the following effects: MP +21, increase resistance to poison by 40%, increase poison attack chance by 40%, increase accuracy, increase critical damage, increase resistance to hold by 30%, increase hold attack chance by 30%, increase Atk., and cas ing speed. ( An Arrogant Search )

For this raid, u will need minimum 2 party, but epic raiding ( the raid boss that drop a special jewel are called Epic ) are a different thing

Games are so much easier when u start playing them from release date -.- I don't know if I'll get into this or not hard to join a clan when I don't know wtf I'm doing lol but at any rate its a nice break from FFXI. Thanks for the info helped me understand a bit more
